I started my AWS SA Associate prep back in DEC 2020 and gave the exam in March 2021. The key thing here is that you need to have a clear date of exam in our mind. Otherwise the date will keep on going ahead and you will never feel yourself ready.

Phase 1: I started with Cloud Academy’s training session. https://cloudacademy.com/learning-paths/aws-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c02-certification-preparation-954/ by Stuart Scott(AWS Content And Security Lead). The sessions were good and the hands on were also helpful. However, when I reached my later stage of my prep I found some topics were missing. But they are regularly updating it as per the new syllabus.

Phase 2: Referred AWS Certified Solution Architect Official Study Guide Associate Exam pdf. This book was helpful to get me the more deep understanding of the concepts. Below I’ve given link to my drive folder which has the pdf along with my other last min rev notes. Plus it has snaps which I generally take when I find some topics interesting so that I can glance them a day or two before the exam date. I recommend people to create similar notes for themselves too. However, reading this note would definitely help.

Phase 3: Started with this course https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c02/ by Stephane Maarek in 2x video speed. This course was awesome and will suggest to go for this if you’re looking for a course.

Phase 4: Mocks are the most important part phase of the prep. Last 20 days I gave mock exams and analyzed their results(correct + wrong ones both). The above 2 courses had 1 mock each. I gave them multiple times until the question started repeating/until I was confident of them. Along with that, I gave below mentioned mocks, these were indeed helpful and I got them for free as some sale or something was going on Udemy while was in my starting phase of my prep so I subscribed them. If you’re getting more than 65% in these mocks then you’re pretty much prepared to give the actual exam. In between the mocks I used to read AWS whitepapers, services FAQ’s to clear my concepts along with answers explanations.

Phase 5: The Exam — The heavily focussed part in my exam was RDS, AWS Storage gateway, EFS, KMS, Backup/Migration Strategy, Auto Scaling, S3 Storage classes, Security, Connectivity with On Prem,Kinesis,VPC endpoints, Policies, Fargate, AWS Shield in order.

Do give a clap/share if you find this useful.
